The approach

Build for today. Leave room for what comes next.

Electrical capacity, solar production, battery behavior, vehicle charging, and generator control all affect one another. The best result starts with understanding the entire system before choosing equipment or a path forward.

Featured Projects

Different projects. Different electrical challenges.

A focused group of completed projects showing how system design, field conditions, and finished workmanship come together.

Livermore - Solar + storage + EV

Solar, storage, and EV charging within the home's existing capacity.

Goal Add solar, battery backup, and EV charging while retaining the existing 100-amp service equipment.

Solution Install an 8.55 kW solar array, two Powerwall 3 units, and a Backup Gateway 3 while correcting existing panel and electrical safety issues.

Technical design details

The site-specific power-control-system limit was set to 80 A so the design stayed within the service-side limit.

The 200 A main loads panel has a 225 A bus. With sufficient stored energy available, the batteries can support up to 176 A on the load side while import from the original service remains controlled.

Acampo - Solar + storage

One coordinated system across a multi-structure property.

Goal Plan a large solar and storage installation across multiple buildings as one property-wide system.

Solution Coordinate 120 solar panels, four Tesla Powerwall 3 units, two expansion batteries, and the main electrical equipment into one design.

Boonville - Solar + storage + generator

Backup designed to use the generator only when needed.

Goal Extend outage protection without listening to the generator run continuously.

Solution Add two FranklinWH batteries to the existing Enphase solar system and coordinate automatic generator charging.

During an outage, solar can recharge storage. If reserve reaches 20%, the generator starts, supports the home, and uses surplus output to charge the batteries before shutting back down at 100%.

Captured generator performance

The recorded system view showed 11.2 kW of generator output - 0.5 kW serving the home and 10.7 kW charging the batteries.

Tesla Wall Connector installed at a lakeside propertyEV charging + Powershare

Copperopolis

Cybertruck Powershare on a difficult site

A steep lakeside property required a long electrical route from the home to an elevated charging location. The finished installation supports Cybertruck charging and bidirectional vehicle power where the vehicle is parked.

Completed Auburn home after a full-house rewire with recessed lighting and ceiling fansWhole-home rewire

Auburn

A full-house rewire with a clean finished result

This Auburn remodel included a full-house rewire, with the kitchen, open living area, finished shower, lighting, and fans coordinated as one complete electrical project.

Finished Citrus Heights electrical panel with painted trimPanel upgrade

Citrus Heights

A cleaner panel replacement, inside and out

An older recessed panel was replaced with new equipment and a painted finished enclosure. Orderly conductor routing behind the cover completed a clean, serviceable result.
