What we do
Gossett Electric evaluates the property's existing equipment, available capacity, and future plans before recommending a practical path forward.

Wire new homes from the ground up, complete whole-home rewires, and handle troubleshooting, dedicated circuits, lighting, fans, and remodel wiring with attention to safety, function, and the finished space.

Prepare your home for new electrical loads with panel replacements, service upgrades, and load planning based on the equipment already in place and what you plan to add.

Solar and battery systems designed around your home and energy goals. Gossett Electric coordinates the complete project, including system design, permitting, electrical integration, battery storage, and commissioning, giving you one knowledgeable point of contact from planning through completion.

Add backup power, expand an existing system, or replace older battery equipment with a design matched to your home's service capacity and energy priorities.

Charge at home with an installation planned around your vehicle, parking location, electrical service, and available capacity. Load management and Powershare options are evaluated when the project calls for them.

Commercial build-outs, panels, circuits, lighting, and conduit installations planned around the equipment, occupancy, and future electrical needs of the space.

Coordinate standby generation with solar and battery storage so backup sources work together during longer outages.

About Gossett Electric
Gossett Electric is family owned and operated. Our family's electrical contracting roots in Northern California date to 1979. Today, Cody Gossett carries that tradition forward as an owner-led electrical contractor based in Roseville, operating under California C-10 license #1131685.
Homeowners work directly with Cody on projects ranging from everyday electrical work to solar, battery storage, EV charging, service upgrades, and coordinated backup systems. Each project starts with the property's existing equipment, available capacity, and the owner's priorities.

The approach
Electrical capacity, solar production, battery behavior, vehicle charging, and generator control all affect one another. The best result starts with understanding the entire system before choosing equipment or a path forward.

Livermore - Solar + storage + EV
Goal Add solar, battery backup, and EV charging while retaining the existing 100-amp service equipment.
Solution Install an 8.55 kW solar array, two Powerwall 3 units, and a Backup Gateway 3 while correcting existing panel and electrical safety issues.
The site-specific power-control-system limit was set to 80 A so the design stayed within the service-side limit.
The 200 A main loads panel has a 225 A bus. With sufficient stored energy available, the batteries can support up to 176 A on the load side while import from the original service remains controlled.

Acampo - Solar + storage
Goal Plan a large solar and storage installation across multiple buildings as one property-wide system.
Solution Coordinate 120 solar panels, four Tesla Powerwall 3 units, two expansion batteries, and the main electrical equipment into one design.

Boonville - Solar + storage + generator
Goal Extend outage protection without listening to the generator run continuously.
Solution Add two FranklinWH batteries to the existing Enphase solar system and coordinate automatic generator charging.
During an outage, solar can recharge storage. If reserve reaches 20%, the generator starts, supports the home, and uses surplus output to charge the batteries before shutting back down at 100%.
The recorded system view showed 11.2 kW of generator output - 0.5 kW serving the home and 10.7 kW charging the batteries.
EV charging + PowershareCopperopolis
A steep lakeside property required a long electrical route from the home to an elevated charging location. The finished installation supports Cybertruck charging and bidirectional vehicle power where the vehicle is parked.
Whole-home rewireAuburn
This Auburn remodel included a full-house rewire, with the kitchen, open living area, finished shower, lighting, and fans coordinated as one complete electrical project.
Panel upgradeCitrus Heights
An older recessed panel was replaced with new equipment and a painted finished enclosure. Orderly conductor routing behind the cover completed a clean, serviceable result.
Off-grid solar + storageOff-grid cabin
This small cabin uses solar production and battery storage as an independent power system. Gossett Electric also designs and installs off-grid projects where utility power is unavailable or impractical.
